The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matvey Berezhnoy in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trey Randle saved Atletico Patoruzu from getting behind. 4 minutes into the match, STORM's goal looked a bit too open when Roosevelt Sullivan came free, but Konstantin Kuznetsov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Semen Burgov fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored STORM's protests and gave Semen Burgov a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to STORM getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Semen Burgov hit a great ball. Konstantin Kuznetsov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roosevelt Sullivan in the 12th minute of the match. Trey Randle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matvey Berezhnoy in the 14th minute of play. Artur Homutov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Chance Womack hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, Atletico Patoruzu's goal looked a bit too open when Matvey Berezhnoy came free, but Trey Randle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Atletico Patoruzu's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Homutov came free, but Trey Randle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roosevelt Sullivan in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Konstantin Kuznetsov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Atletico Patoruzu booed when STORM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lev Dulkevich didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute of the match Marcelo-Luis Master shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Konstantin Kuznetsov showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 37th minute, Roosevelt Sullivan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. STORM's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Roosevelt Sullivan scored to the left of an out of position Konstantin Kuznetsov, making the score, 2-0. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Roosevelt Sullivan put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Konstantin Kuznetsov. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Roosevelt Sullivan made the kick off in the second half. Konstantin Kuznetsov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roosevelt Sullivan in the 58th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Roosevelt Sullivan notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of STORM's Konstantin Kuznetsov. Konstantin Kuznetsov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Atletico Patoruzu's Trey Randle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matvey Berezhnoy in the 85th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Matvey Berezhnoy managed to get in a good position for a shot. STORM's supporters rose to their feet, but Matvey Berezhnoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trey Randle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Matvey Berezhnoy came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the STORM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matvey Berezhnoy couldn't finish the play. Konstantin Kuznetsov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roosevelt Sullivan, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Ian McLain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the game, Marcelo-Luis Gigante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletico Patoruzu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave STORM the free kick. The supporters of STORM booed when Atletico Patoruzu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo-Luis Gigante didn't get a good kick on the ball. STORM's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
