The tension between the Atletico Patoruzu and the Flamengo FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Francis Bradford hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Vitinho Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chance Womack in the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, one of Atletico Patoruzu:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atletico Patoruzu. After 20 played minutes Atletico Patoruzu got a freekick which was hit by Roosevelt Sullivan. A collision led to Flamengo FSCMZ getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Eriberto Schmidt hit a great ball. When Marcelo-Luis Master came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Atletico Patoruzu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo-Luis Master couldn't finish the play. Charles de Medeiros charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charles de Medeiros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Atletico Patoruzu booed when Flamengo FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles de Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the game, Eriberto Schmidt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flamengo FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atletico Patoruzu the free kick. Atletico Patoruzu's Cedric Coulter got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st match minute, Atletico Patoruzu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo-Luis Gigante to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roosevelt Sullivan in the 44th minute of play forced Flamengo FSCMZ's goalkeeper Vitinho Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th match minute, Flamengo FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genílson Lago to maneuver through the defense. Timothy Napier kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roosevelt Sullivan to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Chance Womack left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atletico Patoruzu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 57 played minutes Atletico Patoruzu got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo-Luis Master. After a rather tough play, Flamengo FSCMZ's Benjamim Saraiva got a free kick in the 64th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Atletico Patoruzu's Cedric Coulter slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vitinho Bastos. That made the score 1-2 after 66 minutes of play. Vitinho Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roosevelt Sullivan in the 77th minute of play. Eusébio Andrade hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Chance Womack hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. When Benjamim Saraiva was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 85 minutes had been played. Benjamim Saraiva kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. A collision led to Flamengo FSCMZ getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Chico Carneiro hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Flamengo FSCMZ's zone, Roosevelt Sullivan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitinho Bastos came out of the goal and Roosevelt Sullivan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eriberto Schmidt kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Flamengo FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Roosevelt Sullivan came free, but Vitinho Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celso Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Flamengo FSCMZ supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Atletico Patoruzu's performance. The match ended with a win for Atletico Patoruzu.
