A.F Cuervos Azulgranas's Jose Vitin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Dalgren in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to A.F Cuervos Azulgranas getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Melchor Behe hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastian Asserlind made a kick off. Fred Dalgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Vitin having to interfere. Birger Hedman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Godfredo Marcones's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute, Bernt Thidén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 81 minutes into the match, Hartlepool's goal looked a bit too open when Godfredo Marcones came free, but Birger Hedman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arne Hellström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Jose Vitin made a huge save. After a rather tough play, A.F Cuervos Azulgranas's Guillermo Bonifaco got a free kick in the 84th minute. Sebastian Asserlind recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in A.F Cuervos Azulgranas's zone, Fred Dalgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jose Vitin came out of the goal and Fred Dalgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the game, Godfredo Marcones cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Birger Hedman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
