Rikard Hake hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Birger Hedman came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Pryaporets's Zhelyo Tzingilev. But to his dismay, Zhelyo Tzingilev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Hartlepool getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Christian Browald hit a great ball. Pryaporets's Valentin Gúrkov got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christian Browald kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Krasimir Gradishki made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Ingvar Sundström sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Dalgren in the 21st minute of play forced Pryaporets's goalkeeper Krasimir Gradishki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Pryaporets's Sevdalin Palatov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Birger Hedman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Fred Dalgren was extremely unlucky when he, in the 35th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Hartlepool getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ingvar Sundström hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sevdalin Palatov in the 39th minute of play forced Hartlepool's goalkeeper Birger Hedman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

With a little luck, Hartlepool's Birger Hedman got control of the ball when Zhelyo Tzingilev tried to sneak it across the goal line. Birger Hedman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zhelyo Tzingilev in the 67th minute. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pryaporets's goalkeeper Krasimir Gradishki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Zhelyo Tzingilev left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pryaporets fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. With 83 minutes on the clock, Boyan Yonov commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Birger Hedman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sevdalin Palatov in the 89th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Pryaporets's Huben Simchev got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The Pryaporets players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
