Birger Hedman came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by SarıKırmızı F.Akademisi's Suat Nuralp. But to his dismay, Suat Nuralp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 16th minute, Ingvar Sundström made a precise shot to the right of Alemdar Uğurel. SarıKırmızı F.Akademisi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Arne Hellström charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arne Hellström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Arne Hellström kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute of the match Yakut Kabadayı sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Birger Hedman skillfully saved the ball. Birger Hedman came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by SarıKırmızı F.Akademisi's Ali Kaan Zeki. But to his dismay, Ali Kaan Zeki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Suat Nuralp put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Birger Hedman. 33 minutes into the match, Hartlepool's goal looked a bit too open when Yavuzalp Ozansu came free, but Birger Hedman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 1-5 when Ali Kaan Zeki sped through Hartlepool's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Birger Hedman. 43 minutes into the match, Hartlepool's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Kaan Zeki came free, but Birger Hedman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yavuzalp Ozansu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-5 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Suat Nuralp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Hartlepool's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Kaan Zeki came free, but Birger Hedman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emil Rosén kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 59 minutes, Kayhan Suni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SarıKırmızı F.Akademisi and the Hartlepool players grew even worse after the yellow card. With his leg Birger Hedman managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when SarıKırmızı F.Akademisi's Suat Nuralp fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 66 minutes of play, SarıKırmızı F.Akademisi's Gencalp Seferoğlulları made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Birger Hedman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Birger Hedman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Suat Nuralp in the 70th minute. After a rather tough play, SarıKırmızı F.Akademisi's Yakut Kabadayı got a free kick in the 71st minute. Bernt Thidén charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernt Thidén the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With an all-out effort, SarıKırmızı F.Akademisi's Birger Hedman threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ali Kaan Zeki, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Hartlepool's Birger Hedman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Kaan Zeki in the 82nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hartlepool's Börje Hedling got a free kick in the 84th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Hartlepool's goalkeeper Birger Hedman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Suat Nuralp. Birger Hedman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Kaan Zeki in the 90th minute of the match. Kayhan Suni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Birger Hedman made a huge save.
