Napoleon Kapinos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godofredo Mac Intyre having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Manuel Vlahovic got free with Jerzy Duszenski in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Ignacio Berguecio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Jerzy Duszenski made a huge save. In the 8th minute, CRUZ DEL SUR's Aaron Zamorano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Ignacio Berguecio got free with Jerzy Duszenski in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15th minute, Aaron Zamorano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jerzy Duszenski. The goal made the score 2-0. After 19 minutes, Zygmunt Wos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FA Sandtown and the CRUZ DEL SUR players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes FA Sandtown got a freekick which was hit by Zygmunt Wos. Lorenzo Mella took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jerzy Duszenski. FA Sandtown's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 30 minutes, Klement Jakisz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FA Sandtown and the CRUZ DEL SUR players grew even worse after the yellow card. Klement Jakisz hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Napoleon Kapinos during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, FA Sandtown's Napoleon Kapinos got a free kick in the 32nd minute. With a little luck, FA Sandtown's Jerzy Duszenski got control of the ball when José Ignacio Berguecio tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of CRUZ DEL SUR booed when FA Sandtown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zbyszek Zahemski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jerzy Duszenski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Zamorano in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Zygmunt Wos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the game, Xulián Artaño cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jerzy Duszenski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Ignacio Berguecio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes FA Sandtown got a freekick which was hit by Lucjan Serwach. After having played for 53 minutes, Lorenzo Mella managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CRUZ DEL SUR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lorenzo Mella was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, José Ignacio Berguecio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jerzy Duszenski. FA Sandtown's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Ignacio Berguecio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Jerzy Duszenski came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by CRUZ DEL SUR's Xulián Artaño. But to his dismay, Xulián Artaño quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. A collision led to FA Sandtown getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Florian Huratiak hit a great ball. In the 65th minute, Lorenzo Mella got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jerzy Duszenski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Ignacio Berguecio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zbyszek Zahemski kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Jerzy Duszenski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Zamorano in the 86th minute of the match. In the 91st minute Aaron Zamorano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerzy Duszenski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FA Sandtown's Jerzy Duszenski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Manuel Vlahovic in the 93rd minute of play.
