Federico Anaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute of the match Zenon Pieknik sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Delmar Quintin skillfully saved the ball. Ruben Mendez hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Federico Anaya left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Mandiyu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 32 minutes into the match, FA Sandtown's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Anaya came free, but Jerzy Duszenski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Anaya in the 35th minute of play forced FA Sandtown's goalkeeper Jerzy Duszenski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 minutes of play, Deportivo Mandiyu's Federico Anaya made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jerzy Duszenski was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruben Mendez during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 44 minutes, Federico Anaya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Mandiyu and the FA Sandtown players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Mandiyu's Federico Anaya got a free kick in the 44th minute. Federico Anaya blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jerzy Duszenski having to make a save. After the first half Deportivo Mandiyu were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Napoleon Kapinos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Deportivo Mandiyu's Federico Anaya got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Moises Hartz hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Jerzy Duszenski was a little too slow when Federico Anaya got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 0-6. Deportivo Mandiyu made a substitution. Nunez Oso replaced Marcial Maju. In the 66th minute, Zbyszek Zahemski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruben Mendez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Jerzy Duszenski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Federico Anaya was extremely unlucky when he, in the 70th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Silvano Ongile came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Deportivo Mandiyu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvano Ongile couldn't finish the play. After 76 played minutes Deportivo Mandiyu got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Padro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Napoleon Kapinos in the 85th minute of play forced Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Delmar Quintin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Federico Anaya managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Mandiyu's supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Anaya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerzy Duszenski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Deportivo Mandiyu eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
