In the 35th match minute, Firma Barnängen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerry Bengtsson to maneuver through the defense. Baldomero Salomon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jimmie Ek. Firma Barnängen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Club El Progreso's Apolo Ramos got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 39 minutes into the game, Rasmus Moberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Firma Barnängen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club El Progreso the free kick. The supporters of Club El Progreso booed when Firma Barnängen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rasmus Moberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Humberto Guerau dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jimmie Ek, 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Humberto Guerau was the one to do the kick off. Jimmie Ek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Ramos in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Ramos in the 53rd minute of play forced Firma Barnängen's goalkeeper Jimmie Ek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rasmus Moberg hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Club El Progreso's goalkeeper Florencio Jaen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jimmie Ek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Guerau in the 72nd minute of play. Firma Barnängen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Apolo Ramos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Lucas Elg's late challenge caught a Club El Progreso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucas Elg helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Firma Barnängen getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Lucas Elg hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the match, Firma Barnängen's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Guerau came free, but Jimmie Ek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club El Progreso walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
