In the 9th minute, Artemio Hegoi made a precise shot to the right of Berry Baalen. The Dalwhinnie Boys's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Artemio Hegoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Berry Baalen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 13 minutes into the game, when Rein Pilage put in a rough tackle. Florencio Jaen made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Izaak Pierewaaijer sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute, Baldomero Salomon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, The Dalwhinnie Boys's Izaak Pierewaaijer got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 23 played minutes Club El Progreso got a freekick which was hit by Edgardo Lastur. Berry Baalen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Ramos in the 29th minute of play. In the 30thth minute of the game Humberto Guerau who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Dalwhinnie Boys's Berry Baalen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Dalwhinnie Boys's Izaak Pierewaaijer got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Artemio Hegoi scored 0-3 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Berry Baalen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd minute Artemio Hegoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berry Baalen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Humberto Guerau notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of The Dalwhinnie Boys's Berry Baalen. Berry Baalen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Henry Kleinman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florencio Jaen having to interfere. If Henry Kleinman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th match minute, The Dalwhinnie Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theo Smeekes to maneuver through the defense. Humberto Guerau in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Berry Baalen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 67 played minutes The Dalwhinnie Boys got a freekick which was hit by Ronald Sleiffer. Berry Baalen acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 68th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Artemio Hegoi. A collision led to The Dalwhinnie Boys getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Dimitrie Kuypers hit a great ball. After 75 played minutes The Dalwhinnie Boys got a freekick which was hit by Ronald Sleiffer. Club El Progreso's Artemio Hegoi got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 77 minutes of play, Club El Progreso's Artemio Hegoi made it 1-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Berry Baalen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 81 minutes, Artemio Hegoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club El Progreso and the The Dalwhinnie Boys players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st minute, Artemio Hegoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humberto Guerau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Humberto Guerau's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Berry Baalen was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Berry Baalen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artemio Hegoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
