The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Jørgen Ebler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fred Freire was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a little luck, Skellerup FC's Ejvin Møllekær got control of the ball when Fernando Berger tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fred Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Kvistborg in the 16th minute of the match. When Kent Helsgaard came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Skellerup FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kent Helsgaard couldn't finish the play. Renascença A.C.'s Kauã Pernambucano pulled a muscle in his leg after 21 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Caspar Ambrink's late challenge caught a Renascença A.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caspar Ambrink helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Renascença A.C. booed when Skellerup FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caspar Ambrink didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laurids Dyring charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laurids Dyring the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Skellerup FC's Laurids Dyring got a free kick in the 30th minute. Ejvin Møllekær showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Berger in the 31st minute of the match. Fred Freire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Kvistborg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Skellerup FC booed when Renascença A.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardinho Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dan Kvistborg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Fred Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Berger made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Renascença A.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dan Kvistborg came free, but Fred Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Kvistborg kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 61st minute Dan Kvistborg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Skellerup FC's Dan Kvistborg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. If Dan Kvistborg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 67th minute Dan Kvistborg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renascença A.C.'s Fred Freire proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Renascença A.C. from getting a goal against them. When Dan Kvistborg came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Skellerup FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dan Kvistborg couldn't finish the play. Kent Helsgaard struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Fred Freire didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skellerup FC. After 72 minutes of play, Skellerup FC's Walter Fur made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fred Freire was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Kent Helsgaard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skellerup FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kent Helsgaard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fred Freire breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 83 minutes into the match, Renascença A.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jørgen Ebler came free, but Fred Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred Freire didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 84th minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. Walter Fur blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fred Freire having to make a save. When the match was over Skellerup FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Renascença A.C. throughout the match.
