The supporters of FFC Merainies 03 booed when FC LIVERPOOL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jasper Best didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, FC LIVERPOOL's Marek Wray got control of the ball when Nigel Willemse tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 8th minute Phil Tolley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrice Bemmel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Roeland Klerk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bart Speelman hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, Philip Sheridan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabrice Bemmel. FFC Merainies 03's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Philip Sheridan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Mark Beattie's late challenge caught a FFC Merainies 03's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mark Beattie helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had been going on for 19 minutes, FFC Merainies 03's Jan Hoven got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Marek Wray. Marek Wray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nigel Willemse in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Phil Tolley made a precise shot to the right of Fabrice Bemmel. FFC Merainies 03's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After 28 played minutes FC LIVERPOOL got a freekick which was hit by Philip Sheridan. Gerrie Höhenstein hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, FC LIVERPOOL's goal looked a bit too open when René van Hintum came free, but Marek Wray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FC LIVERPOOL booed when FFC Merainies 03 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Deinse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabrice Bemmel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philip Sheridan, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 37 minutes into the match, FFC Merainies 03's goal looked a bit too open when Philip Sheridan came free, but Fabrice Bemmel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jasper Best fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrice Bemmel having to interfere. A collision led to FC LIVERPOOL getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Mark Beattie hit a great ball.

When Phil Tolley came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the FC LIVERPOOL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phil Tolley couldn't finish the play. FC LIVERPOOL's Thomas Broadbent was substituted for Rupert Hawkins. FC LIVERPOOL made a substitution. Tristram Atkins replaced Jasper Best. FFC Merainies 03's Fabrice Bemmel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save FFC Merainies 03 from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeff Bignot in the 69th minute of play forced FFC Merainies 03's goalkeeper Fabrice Bemmel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Nigel Willemse had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marek Wray. FC LIVERPOOL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nigel Willemse was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Fabrice Bemmel made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Phil Tolley sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd minute of the match, Philip Sheridan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fabrice Bemmel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When René van Hintum fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FFC Merainies 03's protests and gave René van Hintum a yellow card for diving instead. Phil Tolley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Fabrice Bemmel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC LIVERPOOL's Philip Sheridan was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 90th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Philip Sheridan's late challenge caught a FFC Merainies 03's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Philip Sheridan helped the player get up and apologised. FC LIVERPOOL's Marek Wray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nigel Willemse in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC LIVERPOOL eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
