The supporters of O rey Iván booed when CE LAJEADENSE RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulão Negri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Sergi, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute, one of CE LAJEADENSE RS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CE LAJEADENSE RS. Serafin Haitz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lauro Sergipano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. After having played for 18 minutes, Lauro Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CE LAJEADENSE RS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lauro Sergipano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, O rey Iván's goal looked a bit too open when Lauro Sergipano came free, but Serafin Haitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolas Loramendi charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicolas Loramendi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute, Cesar Azeari made a precise shot to the right of Paulão Negri. CE LAJEADENSE RS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lauro Sergipano got free with Serafin Haitz in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Aurelio Paio made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Váldson Berger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Haitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Váldson Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Serafin Haitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Váldson Berger kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Cesar Azeari hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to O rey Iván getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Aldo Montrell hit a great ball. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Paulão Negri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesar Azeari in the 75th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Váldson Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot. CE LAJEADENSE RS's supporters rose to their feet, but Váldson Berger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafin Haitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulão Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Paio in the 82nd minute of play. After having played for 84 minutes, Lauro Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thanks to some nice moves Cayetano Sergi could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Paulão Negri however easily saved by the left post. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
