Ariel Urbasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bo Wikander's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. The audience was convinced that Bo Wikander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ariel Urbasa was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Egon Eliasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Aguirre, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Egon Eliasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Aguirre in the 11th minute of play. Egon Eliasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Aguirre, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The Hockeysnubbarnas BK fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Bo Wikander looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Frank Jakobsson's late challenge caught a Sporting de Gijón's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank Jakobsson helped the player get up and apologised. Frank Jakobsson hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Brian Aguirre succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 21st playminute. During the 26th minute of the match Frank Jakobsson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. After a rather tough play, Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Frank Jakobsson got a free kick in the 27th minute. Bo Wikander blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ariel Urbasa having to make a save. In the 29th minute Bo Wikander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Urbasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Bo Wikander in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sporting de Gijón's goalie prevented a goal. In the 32nd minute, Sporting de Gijón's Brian Aguirre ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Egon Eliasson. Egon Eliasson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. With a little luck, Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Egon Eliasson got control of the ball when Brian Aguirre tried to sneak it across the goal line. Casimiro Galindo made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 37thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Egon Eliasson would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. A hard shot 37 in the game by Casimiro Galindo from a close distance when the talented Egon Eliasson managed to make a qualified save. Hockeysnubbarnas BK's players were relieved.

Sporting de Gijón made a substitution. Marcial Benvido replaced Rosendo Orixe. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bo Wikander to strike the kick off in the second half. Casimiro Galindo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egon Eliasson having to interfere. After 59 minutes, Lennart Beckeman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hockeysnubbarnas BK and the Sporting de Gijón players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lennart Beckeman kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. When Lennart Beckeman was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 65 minutes had been played. Sporting de Gijón's Angelino Pelagius couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 66th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hockeysnubbarnas BK. Dag Bagge hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Brian Aguirre left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting de Gijón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Brian Aguirre scored 4-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Egon Eliasson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 94 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's Brian Aguirre sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Egon Eliasson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Måns Forsberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sporting de Gijón had played much better football throughout.
