Hermosillo FC's Silvano Benat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erubiel Laurentzi in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Erubiel Laurentzi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvano Benat was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Silvano Benat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erubiel Laurentzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Hermosillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Nahia came free, but Silvano Benat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erubiel Laurentzi took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvano Benat. Silvano Benat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Rogelio Luke was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 48 minutes into the match. In the 49th match minute, Club Almirante Brown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogelio Luke to maneuver through the defense. In the 50th minute, Saturnino Endura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cecilio Afonso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Hermosillo FC's Mateo Primeiro got a free kick in the 55th minute. Silvano Benat made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Erubiel Laurentzi sent off a good shot on target. Eliseo Nahia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Silvano Benat. Hermosillo FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 66th minute of the match Eliseo Nahia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvano Benat showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Celedonio Katia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Almirante Brown's supporters rose to their feet, but Celedonio Katia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvano Benat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Silvano Benat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erubiel Laurentzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 75thth minute of the game Mateo Primeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Almirante Brown's Oscar Leoncio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Eusebio Calvet came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Hermosillo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebio Calvet couldn't finish the play. 84 minutes into the match, Club Almirante Brown's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Primeiro came free, but Oscar Leoncio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gustavo Lizar fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hermosillo FC's protests and gave Gustavo Lizar a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Almirante Brown booed when Hermosillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Lizar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseo Nahia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Silvano Benat. Hermosillo FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 90th minute, Erubiel Laurentzi made a precise shot to the right of Silvano Benat. Hermosillo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. If Celedonio Katia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvano Benat was out of position in the 98 minute of play, and Erubiel Laurentzi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Erubiel Laurentzi really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Club Almirante Brown eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
