An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Jerrald in the 9th minute of play forced Hermosillo FC's goalkeeper Silvano Benat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermosillo FC's Silvano Benat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Oriche in the 14th minute of play. Silvano Benat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Oriche in the 16th minute of play. In the 20th minute Pastor Oriche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Benat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilfredo Lluc kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Robustiano Policarpio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Pastor Oriche made a precise shot to the right of Silvano Benat. Hermosillo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Nicanor Bernad's late challenge caught a Formentera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicanor Bernad helped the player get up and apologised. Nicanor Bernad hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After 32 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Christian Jerrald. After a rather tough play, Formentera's Rolando Ado got a free kick in the 35th minute. Silvano Benat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Oriche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Christian Jerrald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hermosillo FC's Silvano Benat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Oriche in the 40th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pastor Oriche to make the kick off. Silvano Benat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pastor Oriche in the 60th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pastor Oriche during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 62 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Oriche. A collision led to Hermosillo FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Angelo Constancio hit a great ball. Hermosillo FC's Joaquin Mano got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78thth minute of the game Pastor Oriche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hermosillo FC's Silvano Benat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pastor Oriche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvano Benat stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pastor Oriche's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Alonzo Vincente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvano Benat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Oriche in the 88th minute of play. The supporters of Formentera booed when Hermosillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Bernad didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Hermosillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Oriche came free, but Silvano Benat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicanor Bernad was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Hermosillo FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Nicanor Bernad hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Formentera walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
