Tomas Jonasson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Joonas Järve made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kurt Björkman got free with Joonas Järve in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Drunken Sea Monkeys booed when Team Rocco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Almqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomas Jonasson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joonas Järve. That made the score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Jonasson in the 22nd minute of play forced Drunken Sea Monkeys's goalkeeper Joonas Järve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Aksel Paulus fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Drunken Sea Monkeys's protests and gave Aksel Paulus a yellow card for diving instead. Drunken Sea Monkeys's Joonas Järve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars-Erik Björk in the 27th minute of play. Drunken Sea Monkeys's Joonas Järve proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Drunken Sea Monkeys from getting a goal against them. After 33 minutes, Kurt Björkman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Team Rocco and the Drunken Sea Monkeys players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kurt Björkman kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Aksel Paulus got his second yellow card in the match during the 35th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 35 played minutes Drunken Sea Monkeys got a freekick which was hit by Aksel Paulus. Kurt Björkman struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Joonas Järve didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Team Rocco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars-Erik Björk in the 39th minute of play forced Drunken Sea Monkeys's goalkeeper Joonas Järve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th match minute, Drunken Sea Monkeys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peep Normann to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Jonasson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joonas Järve. Drunken Sea Monkeys's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 47th minute, Team Rocco's Lars-Erik Björk ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joonas Järve. Joonas Järve yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of Drunken Sea Monkeys:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Team Rocco:s goal. The referee gave Team Rocco a penalty, 55 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lars-Erik Björk, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Drunken Sea Monkeys's Joonas Järve. 3-0. Drunken Sea Monkeys's Joonas Järve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Björkman in the 58th minute of play. After some careless play in the Drunken Sea Monkeys defense, Lars-Erik Björk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joonas Järve. The Drunken Sea Monkeys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joonas Järve should have stopped the shot. In the 74th minute, Kurt Björkman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Team Rocco fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After a rather tough play, Team Rocco's Verner Jönsson got a free kick in the 89th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Drunken Sea Monkeys's goal looked a bit too open when Lars-Erik Björk came free, but Joonas Järve reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Drunken Sea Monkeys's Peep Normann got a free kick in the 95th minute. When Lars-Erik Björk came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Team Rocco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lars-Erik Björk couldn't finish the play. Joonas Järve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Jonasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
