Florin Boerescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cláudio Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After having played for 11 minutes, Maxim Anton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stoicii's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maxim Anton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute, Gelu Zmărăndache reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcelo Novais. The goal made the score 1-0. Marcelo Novais made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maxim Anton in the 20th minute. Set Fire's Marcelo Novais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horea Galiceanu in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Stoicii's Gelu Zmărăndache dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Set Fire's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Gelu Zmărăndache scored to the left of an out of position Marcelo Novais, making the score, 3-0. Marcelo Novais was a little too slow when Maxim Anton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 4-0. In the 41st minute, Emílio Camarinha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Mihăiţă Mirciulescu in the 43rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Set Fire's Alda Felício. 45 minutes into the match, Set Fire's goalkeeper Marcelo Novais had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maxim Anton. Cláudio Correia struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Florin Boerescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Set Fire.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maxim Anton was the one to do the kick off. Stoicii's Florin Boerescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Stoicii from getting a goal against them. 62 minutes into the match, Set Fire's goal looked a bit too open when Gelu Zmărăndache came free, but Marcelo Novais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Gelu Zmărăndache cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Marcelo Novais was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 73 minutes, Magno Malafaia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Set Fire and the Stoicii players grew even worse after the yellow card. Magno Malafaia kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After 74 played minutes Maxim Anton shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Set Fire's Marcelo Novais to catch but Maxim Anton was lucky. It became 6-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. In the 80th minute, Gelu Zmărăndache made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Novais. Set Fire's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Mihăiţă Mirciulescu made in the 87th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Horea Galiceanu however managed to control. Cláudio Correia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Florin Boerescu made a huge save. When the referee ended the match the Stoicii players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
