Ksawery Frodyma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Smith in the 23rd minute of play. Joe Oberto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 30th minute of the game, Leonard Terasek landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Toto Pinilla charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toto Pinilla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Damazy Jaszyna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Joe Oberto made a huge save. Damazy Jaszyna who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Joe Oberto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rolando Pinilla hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Buenaventura FC's Joe Oberto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Buenaventura FC from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Buenaventura FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ryszard Kostka was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 58 minutes into the match, Buenaventura FC's goal looked a bit too open when Damazy Jaszyna came free, but Joe Oberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damazy Jaszyna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joe Oberto having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Buenaventura FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jerzy Kiepski came free, but Joe Oberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joe Oberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerzy Kiepski in the 94th minute of the match. When Alejandro Lao fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buenaventura FC's protests and gave Alejandro Lao a yellow card for diving instead. FC Sójcze walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
