In the last second Roman Montez throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ilmo Kaven in the 35thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Sebastian Bernal was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 37 minutes into the match. A collision led to Villa Mitre getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Sebastian Bernal hit a great ball. Roman Montez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tahvo Seppä went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 43rd minute, Clemente Rosario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roman Montez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iikka Haapaniemi, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 44th minute, Tuukka Liimatainen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roman Montez was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clemente Rosario was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Villa Mitre's zone, Tuukka Liimatainen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roman Montez came out of the goal and Tuukka Liimatainen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that Liverpool FC were the better team. Liverpool FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
