A collision led to Pogoń Szczecin getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Olgierd Moryl hit a great ball. The supporters of Villa Mitre booed when Pogoń Szczecin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Cwenar didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Janusz Prokowski took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Roman Montez to make any attempt to save it. Olgierd Moryl in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Roman Montez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Tanek Barciniak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Villa Mitre's zone, Tanek Barciniak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roman Montez came out of the goal and Tanek Barciniak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leandro Jenaro hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After 23 played minutes Pogoń Szczecin got a freekick which was hit by Lukasz Panikowski. Aleksander Szpakowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Cordarell in the 26th minute of the match. After 30 minutes, Olgierd Moryl made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Villa Mitre's Roman Montez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 35th minute, Olgierd Moryl ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roman Montez was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Aleksander Szpakowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Cordarell in the 39th minute of the match. With his leg Roman Montez managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Pogoń Szczecin's Olgierd Moryl fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Olgierd Moryl to strike the kick off in the second half. Pogoń Szczecin's supporters rose to their feet, but Herbert Cwenar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roman Montez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th match minute, Villa Mitre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Beltxe to maneuver through the defense. With 75 minutes on the clock, Lukasz Panikowski commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Aurelio Rubio charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aurelio Rubio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
