Harry Fagrell kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Henrique Dantas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sonstorps Fotboll's Hugo Sandwall didn't even have to move. When Wilton Toledo fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vila Nova FC's protests and gave Wilton Toledo a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes Vila Nova FC got a freekick which was hit by Wilton Toledo. In the 11th minute of the match Emanuel Kjellqvist sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Beto de Sousa skillfully saved the ball. Sonstorps Fotboll's Hugo Sandwall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacá da Fonseca in the 12th minute of play. In the 15th minute Sven Backlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beto de Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Cacá da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vila Nova FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cacá da Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Sandwall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cacá da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute Vila Nova FC were awarded a corner. Henrique Dantas went to the cornerflag to take it. Harry Fagrell hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Serginho Nóbrega's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugo Sandwall was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Vila Nova FC were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Sonstorps Fotboll's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Henrique Dantas took the corner. The corner led Vila Nova FC's Henrique Dantas to fire away a dangerous shot which Hugo Sandwall despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Hugo Sandwall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cacá da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Wanderson Baptista made a precise shot to the right of Hugo Sandwall. Sonstorps Fotboll's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. With an all-out effort, Vila Nova FC's Hugo Sandwall threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cacá da Fonseca, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Beto de Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Boström, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Sonstorps Fotboll's Hugo Sandwall proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Sonstorps Fotboll from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonardo Boström was the one to do the kick off. Vila Nova FC were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Sonstorps Fotboll's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Henrique Dantas took the corner. 58 minutes into the game, Adhemar Freire was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vila Nova FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sonstorps Fotboll the free kick. The supporters of Sonstorps Fotboll booed when Vila Nova FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adhemar Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adhemar Freire scored 2-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hugo Sandwall, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 69 minutes into the match, Wanderson Baptista had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hugo Sandwall. Sonstorps Fotboll's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wanderson Baptista was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 74 minutes into the match, Sonstorps Fotboll's goal looked a bit too open when Wanderson Baptista came free, but Hugo Sandwall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serginho Nóbrega's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Sandwall read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Hugo Sandwall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Baptista in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Vila Nova FC's goalkeeper Beto de Sousa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lars-Erik Odeen. Hugo Sandwall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cacá da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvaldinho Prestes hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Wanderson Baptista took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Sandwall. Hugo Sandwall dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sonstorps Fotboll players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vila Nova FC.
