Gwidon Klimkiewicz was a little too slow when Cacá da Fonseca got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 1-0. Real Madrid's Gwidon Klimkiewicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Real Madrid from getting a goal against them. 37 minutes into the match, Real Madrid's goalkeeper Gwidon Klimkiewicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wanderson Baptista. If Wanderson Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Real Madrid's zone, Wanderson Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gwidon Klimkiewicz came out of the goal and Wanderson Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Wanderson Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Gwidon Klimkiewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, Real Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marian Topolski to maneuver through the defense. Gwidon Klimkiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Baptista in the 64th minute of play. If Wanderson Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wanderson Baptista in the 69th minute of play forced Real Madrid's goalkeeper Gwidon Klimkiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Maksymilian Cwojdak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Real Madrid's Gwidon Klimkiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wanderson Baptista in the 76th minute of play. Gwidon Klimkiewicz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adhemar Freire's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. After some careless play in the Real Madrid defense, Cacá da Fonseca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gwidon Klimkiewicz. The Real Madrid fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gwidon Klimkiewicz should have stopped the shot. Adhemar Freire struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Gwidon Klimkiewicz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vila Nova FC. 88 minutes into the game, Rafal Gieraltowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Madrid's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vila Nova FC the free kick. Rafal Gieraltowski hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Beto de Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafal Gieraltowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
