Jens-Ola Mellberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harry Fagrell's late challenge caught a CF REALCipri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harry Fagrell helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of CF REALCipri booed when Sonstorps Fotboll was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Fagrell didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the CF REALCipri defense, Lars-Erik Odeen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niculae Povară. The CF REALCipri fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niculae Povară should have stopped the shot. A collision led to CF REALCipri getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Horea Barascu hit a great ball. In the 19th minute Leonardo Boström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niculae Povară saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 1-2 became the score in the 22nd minute when Horea Barascu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Vintilă Giubelean managed to get in a good position for a shot. CF REALCipri's supporters rose to their feet, but Vintilă Giubelean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jens-Ola Mellberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute, Yngve Sjöberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CF REALCipri's Niculae Povară played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Boström in the 35th minute of play. Jens-Ola Mellberg made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Iosif Lăzăroiu sent off a good shot on target. In the 39th match minute, CF REALCipri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gigel Nicodim to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, CF REALCipri's goal looked a bit too open when Lars-Erik Odeen came free, but Niculae Povară reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The CF REALCipri players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sonstorps Fotboll were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Iosif Lăzăroiu made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, CF REALCipri's goalkeeper Niculae Povară had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lars-Erik Odeen. Iosif Lăzăroiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Ola Mellberg having to interfere. Niculae Povară took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yngve Sjöberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lars-Erik Odeen got free with Niculae Povară in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vintilă Giubelean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Ola Mellberg having to interfere. The supporters of CF REALCipri booed when Sonstorps Fotboll was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olof Arvidsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Lars-Erik Odeen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Niculae Povară. That made the score 1-3 in the 83 minute of play. After 85 played minutes CF REALCipri got a freekick which was hit by Horea Barascu. After 90 played minutes Sonstorps Fotboll got a freekick which was hit by Yngve Sjöberg. Jens-Ola Mellberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vintilă Giubelean went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. In the 95th minute Leonardo Boström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niculae Povară saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Sonstorps Fotboll supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sonstorps Fotboll would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
