Guillen Mijangos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cayetano Garci in the 3rd minute of play. After 7 minutes, Argi Rionda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Universitario and the Teodelina FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Universitario was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Argi Rionda to maneuver through the defense. Cayetano Garci could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Guillen Mijangos made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Argi Rionda in the 12th minute of play forced Teodelina FC's goalkeeper Jesus Flor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Teodelina FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edwardo Ruete was slow to take the kick. During this time Universitario's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Universitario's corner Edwardo Ruete fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jesus Flor quite easily take care of the ball. Guillen Mijangos came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Teodelina FC's Placido Kauldi. But to his dismay, Placido Kauldi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 29 minutes into the match, Universitario's goalkeeper Guillen Mijangos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaston Salvadore. In the 34th minute Eliseo Gaufred shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillen Mijangos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Placido Kauldi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Guillen Mijangos made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Placido Kauldi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Guillen Mijangos came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Teodelina FC's Placido Kauldi. But to his dismay, Placido Kauldi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Guillen Mijangos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaston Salvadore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jesus Flor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlin Fornell in the 63rd minute of play. Berriotxoa Novo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Teodelina FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Cesar Abastas hit a great ball. Gaston Salvadore kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. The supporters of Teodelina FC booed when Universitario was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Argi Rionda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guillen Mijangos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Placido Kauldi's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Universitario's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Teodelina FC the free kick. In the 82nd match minute, Universitario was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garcia Dalaje to maneuver through the defense. Edwardo Ruete charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edwardo Ruete the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 90 played minutes Universitario got a freekick which was hit by Edwardo Ruete. After a rather tough play, Universitario's Bonifacio Echarriza got a free kick in the 94th minute.
