In the 9th minute, Filcho Angelchev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filippo Di Girolamo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Atanas Dlúgnekov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristoforo Andreola in the 15th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camillo Travaglini in the 16th minute of play forced FC CSKA's goalkeeper Atanas Dlúgnekov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
