Atanas Dlúgnekov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Joinville - FSCMZ. In the 9th minute of the match, Memphis Xande tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Atanas Dlúgnekov saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Silvinho Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Velko Goleminov, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Velko Goleminov in the 15th minute of play forced New Joinville - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Silvinho Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Atanas Dlúgnekov threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Memphis Xande, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 25th minute, Kamen Sarandev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 25 played minutes, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Memphis Xande shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Atanas Dlúgnekov came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in New Joinville - FSCMZ reached it. 27 minutes into the game, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Memphis Xande nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Atanas Dlúgnekov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Silvinho Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kamen Sarandev in the 34th minute of play. When Haroldo Tepedino came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the New Joinville - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo Tepedino couldn't finish the play. Kamen Sarandev kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC CSKA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 38th minute. Penalty! After a defensive mix-up in New Joinville - FSCMZ's zone, Vangel Dinev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvinho Gaúcho came out of the goal and Vangel Dinev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kamen Sarandev stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vangel Dinev got free with Silvinho Gaúcho in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Memphis Xande in the 57th minute of play forced FC CSKA's goalkeeper Atanas Dlúgnekov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC CSKA getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Gancho Topencharov hit a great ball. New Joinville - FSCMZ's Humberto do Nascimento was substituted for Murillo Esteves. After 61 played minutes FC CSKA got a freekick which was hit by Gancho Topencharov. Haroldo Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atanas Dlúgnekov having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Memphis Xande in the 69th minute of play forced FC CSKA's goalkeeper Atanas Dlúgnekov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, New Joinville - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Silvinho Gaúcho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafail Bumbovski. Silvinho Gaúcho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kamen Sarandev's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Atanas Dlúgnekov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto do Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 92nd minute, José Carlos Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The New Joinville - FSCMZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC CSKA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
