An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt Abrahamsson in the 5th minute of play forced Red Dragon FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Xavi Čech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute, Faustão Sergipano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xavi Čech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torbjörn Uggstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xavi Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt Abrahamsson in the 11th minute of play. In the 15th match minute, Sledgehammer KO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Sellberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute, Bengt Abrahamsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sledgehammer KO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Dagoberto Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Pontus Törnqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 41 played minutes Sledgehammer KO got a freekick which was hit by Henry Gustafsson. After a rather tough play, Sledgehammer KO's Tony Gregersson got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The supporters of Red Dragon FC - DMZ booed when Sledgehammer KO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pontus Törnqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Sledgehammer KO were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bengt Abrahamsson was the one to do the kick off. Danilo Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Sonny Holm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustav Sundberg hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Danilo Queirós hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Sledgehammer KO's Sonny Holm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Queirós in the 90th minute of play.
