The supporters of BK Värdsholmen booed when Little Big was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Ove Lidman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michael Glad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Krister Söderman in the 23rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Krister Söderman in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michael Glad saved Little Big from getting behind. Michael Glad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Krister Söderman in the 39th minute of the match. Michael Glad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Krister Söderman in the 43rd minute of play. Krister Söderman took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michael Glad. Michael Glad dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Krister Söderman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Wester in the 53rd minute of play forced BK Värdsholmen's goalkeeper Eddie Alström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Verner Helström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BK Värdsholmen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Michael Glad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krister Söderman, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 71st minute Ingvar Isaksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddie Alström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BK Värdsholmen had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
