Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) BK Värdsholmen's Krister Söderman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Stewart Francis. Eddie Alström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keith Braxton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. DeAngelo Petty took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eddie Alström. Eddie Alström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Patrik Lundkvist hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Victor Caldwell was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 17 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, New England Minas's Victor Caldwell got a free kick in the 18th minute. When Bo Broman came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the BK Värdsholmen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bo Broman couldn't finish the play. In the 24th minute, Dwayne Clement hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jim Jennings fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Alström having to interfere. In the 33rd minute DeAngelo Petty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddie Alström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Krister Söderman had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Oscar Price charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oscar Price the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. BK Värdsholmen's Tomas Uggla was substituted for Krister Söderman. After 39 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Price. DeAngelo Petty recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute Jim Jennings shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddie Alström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Keith Braxton made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Verner Helström in the 50th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Bradly Gray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th match minute, BK Värdsholmen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Uggla to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christer Termander in the 58th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Bradly Gray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the New England Minas defense, Christer Termander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bradly Gray. The New England Minas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bradly Gray should have stopped the shot. A collision led to BK Värdsholmen getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Christer Termander hit a great ball. In the 87th minute Tomas Uggla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bradly Gray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Keith Braxton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New England Minas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. New England Minas were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
