The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the game, Malmö Torpedos's Anders Andreasson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gogo Pes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Anders Andreasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gogo Pes having to interfere. Arnoldo Lleir kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Alfred Brandin struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Gogo Pes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malmö Torpedos. Ingmar Målares short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Gogo Pes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 20th minute, Urbano Gelacio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Malmö Torpedos booed when Santa Maradona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urbano Gelacio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gogo Pes was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Anders Andreasson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Anders Andreasson really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Ingmar Målare in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gogo Pes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 33 played minutes Santa Maradona got a freekick which was hit by Elvio Pacorro. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Ingmar Målare took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Gogo Pes to make any attempt to save it. Victor Jaunti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Alf Hallgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melquiades Manex recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 45 played minutes Malmö Torpedos got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Åke Lange. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a defensive mix-up in Santa Maradona's zone, Anders Andreasson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gogo Pes came out of the goal and Anders Andreasson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Malmö Torpedos's Johannes Hedbom got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 59th match minute, Santa Maradona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elvio Pacorro to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Ingmar Målare put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gogo Pes. After a rather tough play, Malmö Torpedos's Alfred Brandin got a free kick in the 66th minute. The supporters of Santa Maradona booed when Malmö Torpedos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingmar Målare didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Melquiades Manex was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santa Maradona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malmö Torpedos the free kick. In the 73rd minute, Melquiades Manex hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ingmar Målare blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gogo Pes having to make a save. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Elvio Pacorro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 83rd minute, Victor Jaunti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Malmö Torpedos's zone, Victor Jaunti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alf Hallgren came out of the goal and Victor Jaunti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Torbjörn Sillén managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malmö Torpedos's supporters rose to their feet, but Torbjörn Sillén was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gogo Pes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 93 played minutes Santa Maradona got a freekick which was hit by Urbano Gelacio.
