Alexander Granlund's late challenge caught a VN Keleler's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Granlund helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of VN Keleler booed when AEK FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Granlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 3rd minute of the match Grozdan Chapkúnov shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ole Lorentzen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Chris Bjørsvik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sturle Ottersen kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. AEK FC's Ole Lorentzen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yani Popisakov in the 11th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Lyubcho Ruychev successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Desislav Halembakov during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of AEK FC booed when VN Keleler was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desislav Halembakov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Martin Hansen made a precise shot to the right of Lyubcho Ruychev. VN Keleler's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 31 played minutes Martin Hansen rounded VN Keleler's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Lyubcho Ruychev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sturle Ottersen in the 36th minute of the match. After 43 minutes VN Keleler's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Åge Undheim who took care of the corner kick. Lyubcho Ruychev was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sturle Ottersen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 44 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yani Popisakov made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Martin Hansen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AEK FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Hansen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to VN Keleler getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Elenko Ikov hit a great ball. If Yani Popisakov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in AEK FC's zone, Angel Vardarov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ole Lorentzen came out of the goal and Angel Vardarov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Hansen in the 64th minute of play forced VN Keleler's goalkeeper Lyubcho Ruychev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. VN Keleler's Lyubcho Ruychev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sturle Ottersen in the 67th minute of play. After 67 minutes of play, AEK FC's Sturle Ottersen made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lyubcho Ruychev was left in no man's land by his defense there! Yani Popisakov kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, AEK FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rostislav Mazakov came free, but Ole Lorentzen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angel Vardarov received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ole Lorentzen came out and tried to block the shot, but Angel Vardarov slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 82nd minute. If Angel Vardarov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yani Popisakov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ole Lorentzen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lyubcho Ruychev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Hansen's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. AEK FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
