After having played for 11 minutes, Simão de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mamutes EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simão de Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the -BZF- Valea Buzăului defense, Simão de Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manole Tăcutu. The -BZF- Valea Buzăului fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manole Tăcutu should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristi Hagi got free with Nilson Paranaense in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Edvaldo Soares came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Mamutes EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvaldo Soares couldn't finish the play. Costică Stoleru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Nilson Paranaense made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in -BZF- Valea Buzăului's zone, Bola Forte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manole Tăcutu came out of the goal and Bola Forte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simão de Lara's late challenge caught a -BZF- Valea Buzăului's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simão de Lara helped the player get up and apologised. 45 minutes into the match, Cristi Hagi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nilson Paranaense. Mamutes EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristi Hagi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bola Forte to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bola Forte in the 58th minute of play forced -BZF- Valea Buzăului's goalkeeper Manole Tăcutu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simão de Lara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Manole Tăcutu made a huge save. In the 62nd minute Cosmin Galiceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson Paranaense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manole Tăcutu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simão de Lara in the 64th minute. After 65 minutes of play, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Costică Stoleru made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nilson Paranaense was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nilson Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costică Stoleru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the -BZF- Valea Buzăului defense, Edvaldo Soares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manole Tăcutu. The -BZF- Valea Buzăului fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manole Tăcutu should have stopped the shot. Horea Neculuță kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Davi de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Mamutes EC's Emílio Mello got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristi Hagi during the 85th minute. When Costică Stoleru fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored -BZF- Valea Buzăului's protests and gave Costică Stoleru a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mamutes EC booed when -BZF- Valea Buzăului was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costică Stoleru didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cido Cosme during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 92 minutes into the match, Mamutes EC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristi Hagi came free, but Nilson Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Mamutes EC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented -BZF- Valea Buzăului from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
