The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Se7e's goal looked a bit too open when Costică Stoleru came free, but Luiz Eduardo Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristi Hagi in the 7th minute of play forced Se7e's goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Alin Dobrițoiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 11 minutes of play, Se7e's Romário Souto made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martin Antim was left in no man's land by his defense there! 14 minutes into the match, Cristi Hagi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Eduardo Novaes. Se7e's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristi Hagi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Magalhães in the 17th minute of play forced -BZF- Valea Buzăului's goalkeeper Martin Antim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Se7e getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Lino Andrade hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Cristi Hagi could shoot a difficult shot in the 24th minute, which Luiz Eduardo Novaes however easily saved by the left post. Luiz Eduardo Novaes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristi Hagi in the 36th minute. Luiz Eduardo Novaes made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Cristi Hagi sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind -BZF- Valea Buzăului's goalkeeper Martin Antim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's goal looked a bit too open when Romário Souto came free, but Martin Antim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Cristi Hagi made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute João Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Antim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Antim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Andrade in the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costică Stoleru in the 58th minute of play forced Se7e's goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 60 in the game by João Magalhães from a close distance when the talented Martin Antim managed to make a qualified save. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Romário Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Se7e's supporters rose to their feet, but Romário Souto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Antim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to -BZF- Valea Buzăului getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Cristi Hagi hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Se7e's José Pedro Ribeiro got a free kick in the 68th minute. Se7e's Romário Souto got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benedito das Neves hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the game, Romário Souto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Martin Antim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Miranda in the 90th minute of play forced -BZF- Valea Buzăului's goalkeeper Martin Antim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paul Baran during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to -BZF- Valea Buzăului getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Paul Baran hit a great ball. Bruno Miranda struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Martin Antim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Se7e. Se7e played a much better game than -BZF- Valea Buzăului and deserved their victory. The -BZF- Valea Buzăului players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
