If Bruno Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roland Luckham charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roland Luckham the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edward Magrath showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romário Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Se7e's goal looked a bit too open when Curtis Mckinnes came free, but Luiz Eduardo Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Se7e's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Deal came free, but Luiz Eduardo Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edward Magrath made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romário Souto in the 37th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when José Pedro Ribeiro put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Se7e fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Curtis Mckinnes was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Frenchville Sports Club getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Evan Millar hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Se7e's Benedito das Neves got a free kick in the 58th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Magalhães in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edward Magrath prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Se7e's Romário Souto in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Frenchville Sports Club's goalie prevented a goal. Frenchville Sports Club's Edward Magrath played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Souto in the 67th minute of play. When Pearce Hickman fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Frenchville Sports Club's protests and gave Pearce Hickman a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes Frenchville Sports Club got a freekick which was hit by Pearce Hickman. In the 73rd minute, Kyle Deal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th match minute, Frenchville Sports Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darren Lascelles to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute Romário Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edward Magrath saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Romário Souto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Edward Magrath was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Henry Laing came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Frenchville Sports Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henry Laing couldn't finish the play. Frenchville Sports Club's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
