After having played for 10 minutes, Marcelinho Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grêmio FBPA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelinho Meireles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Murillo Gonçalves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Károly Kovács, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After some careless play in the Grêmio FBPA defense, Károly Kovács kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Murillo Gonçalves. The Grêmio FBPA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Murillo Gonçalves should have stopped the shot. Murillo Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Attila Kossuth in the 15th minute of play. Murillo Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from István Márkus in the 20th minute of the match. Grêmio FBPA's Murillo Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by László Solti in the 22nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joélson Guimarães during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Grêmio FBPA getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Joélson Guimarães hit a great ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and László Solti made a kick off. Grêmio FBPA's Murillo Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by László Solti in the 80th minute of play. Károly Kovács's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Murillo Gonçalves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Murillo Gonçalves came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Nagyváradi AC's László Solti. But to his dismay, László Solti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. When the final whistle sounded Nagyváradi AC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Grêmio FBPA.
