The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgardo Solano got free with Osvaldinho Marquez in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Osvaldinho Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ximun Zapater in the 7th minute of play. Osvaldinho Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Huarte in the 13th minute of the match. Grêmio FBPA's Osvaldinho Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martín Villar in the 15th minute of play. With a little luck, Grêmio FBPA's Osvaldinho Marquez got control of the ball when Ximun Zapater tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19th minute, Rigoberto Erosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osvaldinho Marquez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lordi Jimenez during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Hispania getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Lordi Jimenez hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Osvaldinho Marquez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 28 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Marquez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rigoberto Erosa. In the 37th minute, Hispania's Martín Villar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When Rigoberto Erosa fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hispania's protests and gave Rigoberto Erosa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th minute, Rigoberto Erosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the match, Martín Villar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Osvaldinho Marquez, 3-0. If Toni Huarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Diamantino Barbosa made the kick off in the second half. Grêmio FBPA's Osvaldinho Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Erosa in the 54th minute of play. Osvaldinho Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rigoberto Erosa in the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Martín Villar made a precise shot to the right of Osvaldinho Marquez. Grêmio FBPA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Osvaldinho Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ximun Zapater, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Osvaldinho Marquez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rigoberto Erosa went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. In the 73rd minute, Grêmio FBPA's Osvaldo Santana seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Osvaldo Santana the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Grêmio FBPA protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Osvaldo Santana had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Osvaldo Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Grêmio FBPA's Osvaldinho Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Solano in the 74th minute of play. Dudu Negri hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Edgardo Solano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Osvaldinho Marquez. Osvaldinho Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martín Villar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute Martín Villar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldinho Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Hispania's Tobiasr Sainz got control of the ball when Edu Veiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hispania's Lordi Jimenez got a free kick in the 95th minute.
