Sefa Yahya made an important save on a dangerous shot by Délio Alvarenga in the 3rd minute. 4 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Délio Alvarenga fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 8th minute, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Hélder de Carvalho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sefa Yahya. Sefa Yahya yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Sefa Yahya made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Délio Alvarenga sent off a good shot on target. HORIZZONT's Sefa Yahya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erivaldo Paraibano in the 12th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Marcelo Goiano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sefa Yahya. Marcelo Goiano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. HORIZZONT's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Hélder de Carvalho scored to the left of an out of position Sefa Yahya, making the score, 3-0. Ali Behzat Derem charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ali Behzat Derem the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, HORIZZONT's Ali Behzat Derem got a free kick in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erivaldo Paraibano in the 30th minute of play forced HORIZZONT's goalkeeper Sefa Yahya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st match minute, HORIZZONT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aykan İlhanoğlu to maneuver through the defense. Sefa Yahya came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Délio Alvarenga. But to his dismay, Délio Alvarenga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 36th minute Marcelo Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sefa Yahya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Délio Alvarenga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Sefa Yahya made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erivaldo Paraibano during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Erivaldo Paraibano hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ali Behzat Derem to strike the kick off in the second half. Sefa Yahya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Goiano in the 51st minute of the match. Sefa Yahya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Goiano in the 52nd minute of play. After some careless play in the HORIZZONT defense, Belmiro Cordeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sefa Yahya. The HORIZZONT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sefa Yahya should have stopped the shot. HORIZZONT's Sefa Yahya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belmiro Cordeiro in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute Marcelo Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sefa Yahya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th match minute, HORIZZONT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bayındır Mehmet Öztaş to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute of the match Edu Alcântara sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sefa Yahya skillfully saved the ball. When Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Belmiro Cordeiro in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye HORIZZONT's goalie prevented a goal. 70 minutes into the match, HORIZZONT's goal looked a bit too open when Erivaldo Paraibano came free, but Sefa Yahya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, HORIZZONT's Bayındır Mehmet Öztaş got a free kick in the 74th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erivaldo Paraibano in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sefa Yahya prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 85 minutes, Marcelo Goiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Goiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Coritiba Foot Ball Club fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Délio Alvarenga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sefa Yahya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Délio Alvarenga in the 88th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Coritiba Foot Ball Club fully deserved thier win.
