Herminio Gaizko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remo do Valle charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remo do Valle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Ripa FC. Simon Martxelin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Goiano in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute, Erivaldo Paraibano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coritiba Foot Ball Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 39 minutes into the match, Belmiro Cordeiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Simon Martxelin, 3-2. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 6-2 when Erivaldo Paraibano sped through Ripa FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Simon Martxelin. In the 92nd minute Marcelo Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Martxelin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
