The supporters of Ripa FC booed when HORIZZONT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Suphi Ziyaettin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simon Martxelin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özgür Olcay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Suphi Ziyaettin in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simon Martxelin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 11th match minute, Ripa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herminio Gaizko to maneuver through the defense. Simon Martxelin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tamer Baransel in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, HORIZZONT's Özgür Olcay got a free kick in the 14th minute. Sefa Yahya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benicio Ixona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, HORIZZONT's Suphi Ziyaettin got a free kick in the 18th minute. The audience was convinced that Ali Behzat Derem's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simon Martxelin was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. After 32 minutes of play, HORIZZONT's Tamer Baransel made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simon Martxelin was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Suphi Ziyaettin came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the HORIZZONT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Suphi Ziyaettin couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Camilo Urtsua made a kick off. Amado Nazario charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amado Nazario the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee ignored HORIZZONT's protests and gave Nihat Kazanhan a yellow card for diving instead. Aykan İlhanoğlu charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The HORIZZONT supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing HORIZZONT would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
