Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Deivid Vinhas started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeu Correia in the 3rd minute of play forced Barrio Norte FC's goalkeeper Gaspar Babul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Telo Pongó could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Ruy Loureiro made a huge save. 6 minutes into the game, Yerko Wekin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrio Norte FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montevideo the free kick. After a rather tough play, Barrio Norte FC's Yerko Wekin got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 9th minute Deivid Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Babul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deivid Vinhas took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaspar Babul. Gaspar Babul dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 12 minutes into the game, Telo Pongó cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ruy Loureiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Deivid Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Barrio Norte FC booed when Montevideo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Telo Pongó struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Ruy Loureiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barrio Norte FC. Gaspar Babul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeu Correia in the 30th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Barrio Norte FC's Eufemio Carmona got a free kick in the 35th minute. Gaspar Babul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadeu Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abel Espejo to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telo Pongó in the 52nd minute of play forced Montevideo's goalkeeper Ruy Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eufemio Carmona hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 59 minutes of play Barrio Norte FC's Yerko Wekin was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 60 played minutes Barrio Norte FC got a freekick which was hit by Yerko Wekin. Odón Gurruchaga hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the game, Barrio Norte FC's Telo Pongó nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ruy Loureiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 72 minutes into the match, Barrio Norte FC's goalkeeper Gaspar Babul had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Deivid Vinhas. Ruy Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telo Pongó, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute, Leonardo Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abel Espejo hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Odón Gurruchaga came free, but Ruy Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute Odón Gurruchaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Abel Espejo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barrio Norte FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Espejo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruy Loureiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Many of Montevideo's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Montevideo may have spent more time on the ball, but Barrio Norte FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
