After 22 played minutes MALZBIER got a freekick which was hit by Kaká Cardozo. In the 24th minute, Ivón Batuecas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sitges FC's Leonel Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilvan Vergílio in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sitges FC's Gartzea Fuster got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Leonel Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorian Terra in the 41st minute of play forced Sitges FC's goalkeeper Leonel Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivón Batuecas was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute Adilson Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Sitges FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Alberto Figueiredo came free, but Leonel Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonel Fernandez was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Adilson Palmeira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adilson Palmeira really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. 65 minutes into the match, Carlos Alberto Figueiredo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Leonel Fernandez, 0-8. Gilvan Vergílio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Leonel Fernandez made a huge save. The Sitges FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. MALZBIER were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
