When Tibor Pálfi fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bayern München FC.'s protests and gave Tibor Pálfi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bayern München FC. getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Tibor Pálfi hit a great ball. If Antonia Webb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonia Webb could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Ferenc Döbrögi made a huge save. Ferenc Döbrögi made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Antonia Webb sent off a good shot on target. In the 14th match minute, Sport Lisboa e Benfica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baptiste Beck to maneuver through the defense. Viktor Moravecz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th match minute, Bayern München FC. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viktor Moravecz to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute Boniface Fulton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferenc Döbrögi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boniface Fulton received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ferenc Döbrögi came out and tried to block the shot, but Boniface Fulton slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 20th minute. After 70 played minutes, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Georges Christopher shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ferenc Döbrögi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sport Lisboa e Benfica reached it. Irving Dennis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Attila Nemes in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 74th match minute, Bayern München FC. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tibor Pálfi to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute, Tibor Pálfi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferenc Döbrögi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonia Webb, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. When Boniface Fulton came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Sport Lisboa e Benfica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boniface Fulton couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sport Lisboa e Benfica fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bayern München FC. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
