The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hette van Dijk kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 3rdth minute. Though ot was a great shot ADCR Loreto United FC's keeper Armindo Guarda was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Kenneth van der Leegte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Nogueira in the 10th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Philip Zevenhuizen during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SV Wissenkerke getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Philip Zevenhuizen hit a great ball. In the 13th minute, Leendert Looze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute, Ralph Cramer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kenneth van der Leegte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Gusmão, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Hette van Dijk sped through ADCR Loreto United FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Armindo Guarda. If Hette van Dijk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Hofland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, ADCR Loreto United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hette van Dijk came free, but Armindo Guarda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Stef Mol came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the SV Wissenkerke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stef Mol couldn't finish the play. After 43 played minutes, SV Wissenkerke's Marco Hofland shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Armindo Guarda came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SV Wissenkerke reached it. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hette van Dijk to strike the kick off in the second half. 63 minutes into the match, Hans Oude Kamphuis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Armindo Guarda. ADCR Loreto United FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hans Oude Kamphuis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Armindo Guarda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hette van Dijk in the 67th minute of play. Stef Mol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Guarda having to interfere. When Philip Zevenhuizen was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 74 minutes had been played. Eusébio Sacadura hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Teófilo Caneira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Kenneth van der Leegte made a huge save. The SV Wissenkerke players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
