Iosif Slătineanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Octávio Moita made a huge save. Octávio Moita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionică Burtea in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, FC ciufulici's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Trindade came free, but Iustin Şerbănoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the FC ciufulici defense, Gentil Vasques kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iustin Şerbănoiu. The FC ciufulici fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iustin Şerbănoiu should have stopped the shot. Alexandrino Bessa kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernest Gheorghiu in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octávio Moita saved SC Braga from getting behind. In the 24th minute, Honorato Calado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iustin Şerbănoiu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. FC ciufulici's Iustin Şerbănoiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandrino Bessa in the 26th minute of play. Iustin Şerbănoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Trindade in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of FC ciufulici booed when SC Braga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandrino Bessa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iustin Şerbănoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélder Trindade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, SC Braga's Iustin Şerbănoiu threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Honorato Calado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, FC ciufulici's Iustin Şerbănoiu got control of the ball when Gentil Vasques tried to sneak it across the goal line.
