Gonçalo Sarmento started the match with the kick off. Virgilio Selatse kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 5th match minute, Berni y Benja FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robustiano Matteo to maneuver through the defense. Real Cruzeiro FC's Ronaldo Vianna got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 9 minutes into the game, João Pedro Ortiz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Cruzeiro FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Berni y Benja FC the free kick. After 9 played minutes Real Cruzeiro FC got a freekick which was hit by João Pedro Ortiz. Ivo Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Artemio Abascal's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. In the 18th match minute, Real Cruzeiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonçalo Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximo Izel in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivo Amaral saved Real Cruzeiro FC from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Luís Guilherme Cabral took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Celestino Medina to make any attempt to save it. In the 25th minute Robustiano Matteo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Real Cruzeiro FC's Ivo Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Izel in the 26th minute of play. Virgilio Selatse hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Falcão Mendes hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the game, Berni y Benja FC's Artemio Abascal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivo Amaral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Maximo Izel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivo Amaral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 38th minute by Ronaldo Vianna got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Luís Guilherme Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Guilherme Cabral took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celestino Medina. Celestino Medina dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. When Ronaldo Vianna fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Cruzeiro FC's protests and gave Ronaldo Vianna a yellow card for diving instead. Artemio Abascal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 54th minute, Luís Guilherme Cabral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Cruzeiro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 58th match minute, Real Cruzeiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Vianna to maneuver through the defense. Ivo Amaral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximo Izel in the 59th minute. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Maximo Izel sped through Real Cruzeiro FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ivo Amaral. Celestino Medina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Guilherme Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximo Izel scored 3-4 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivo Amaral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th minute, Robustiano Matteo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ivo Amaral. The goal made the score 3-5. A sloppy throw-in by Lázaro Obano in the 84th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Real Cruzeiro FC's Fábio Pontes. After having played for 85 minutes, Luís Guilherme Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Cruzeiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Guilherme Cabral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celestino Medina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Guilherme Cabral in the 88th minute of play. Godofredo Txema missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 91 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Ivo Amaral right hand side. 92 minutes into the game, Artemio Abascal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ivo Amaral. Artemio Abascal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-6.
