After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Isaltino de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter de São Paulo's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaltino de Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celestino Medina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th minute, Oscar Txema hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd match minute, Berni y Benja FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Txema to maneuver through the defense. Inter de São Paulo's Kaká Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Abascal in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute Maximo Izel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaká Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Maximo Izel made a precise shot to the right of Kaká Marquez. Inter de São Paulo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Izel in the 39th minute of play forced Inter de São Paulo's goalkeeper Kaká Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Artemio Abascal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Kaká Marquez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Inter de São Paulo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. The wind increased when Isaltino de Andrade made the kick off in the second half. Kaká Marquez made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Robustiano Matteo sent off a good shot on target. In the 56th minute of the match, Artemio Abascal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kaká Marquez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 57th minute, Maximo Izel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Norberto Vale hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, Oscar Txema fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Maximo Izel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Kaká Marquez made a huge save. If Maximo Izel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kaká Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robustiano Matteo in the 73rd minute of the match. 77 minutes into the game, Inter de São Paulo's Isaltino de Andrade nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Celestino Medina made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. The crowd rose to their feet as Berni y Benja FC's Artemio Abascal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kaká Marquez. That made the score 1-6 after 80 minutes of play. Angelo Normando's late challenge caught a Inter de São Paulo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Normando helped the player get up and apologised. After 90 played minutes Berni y Benja FC got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Normando. Maximo Izel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Kaká Marquez made a huge save. In the 94th minute Artemio Abascal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaká Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaltino de Andrade struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Celestino Medina didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter de São Paulo. When the match was over Berni y Benja FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Inter de São Paulo throughout the match.
