Stefano Damen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After a rather tough play, Palmares Futebol Clube's Gerson Salles got a free kick in the 40th minute. Stefano Damen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jo Calleri in the 45th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Florian Bogaard was the one to do the kick off. Palmares Futebol Clube's João Carlos Antunes suffered a sprained foot after 58 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Joost Blommaart's late challenge caught a Palmares Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vicente Ferraz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Stefano Damen made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded Palmares Futebol Clube left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Julias Rascals Apeldoorn.
