Jarbas Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 3rd minute, Adrian Bergqvist sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Palmares Futebol Clube's Francisco Alagoano didn't even have to move. In the 5th minute, Jo Calleri made a precise shot to the right of John Askelöf. Billesholm's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Jo Calleri received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. John Askelöf came out and tried to block the shot, but Jo Calleri slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 8th minute. Francisco Alagoano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Hedberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Billesholm's John Askelöf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerson Salles in the 17th minute of play. In the 23rdth minute of the game Jo Calleri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Billesholm's John Askelöf was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th minute, Claudinei Loureiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The corner ended in Rubens Recife almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Billesholm's John Askelöf did a great save. If Tony Hedberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tony Hedberg was the one to do the kick off. Benjamin Quintal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. John Askelöf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinei Loureiro in the 68th minute of the match. Billesholm's John Askelöf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jo Calleri in the 71st minute of play. In the 77th minute, Gerson Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Kalfhage kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Jo Calleri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palmares Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. John Askelöf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Loureiro in the 94th minute of play.
