After having played for 12 minutes, Emanuel Valente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Sportivo Quilmes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Valente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 14 minutes, Tiburcio Basajaun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Sportivo Quilmes and the Cuervos Galácticos players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 14 played minutes Club Sportivo Quilmes got a freekick which was hit by Tiburcio Basajaun. Jose Eleazar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Cuervos Galácticos's goalkeeper Benedicto Orkatz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ulises Fidele. If Jose Eleazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Enekoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Frasquito, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Cuervos Galácticos's Benedicto Orkatz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Fidele in the 31st minute of play. Emanuel Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Orkatz having to interfere. Carmelo Irrintzi's late challenge caught a Cuervos Galácticos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carmelo Irrintzi helped the player get up and apologised. Carmelo Irrintzi hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. If Elpidio Paul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 played minutes Club Sportivo Quilmes got a freekick which was hit by Tiburcio Basajaun.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ulises Fidele to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Club Sportivo Quilmes's Alfredo Enekoitz got control of the ball when Jose Eleazar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carmelo Irrintzi was shown his second yellow card after 51 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 52nd match minute, Club Sportivo Quilmes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmelo Irrintzi to maneuver through the defense. Benedicto Orkatz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Club Sportivo Quilmes's Jeronimo Salvator got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute, Saturnino Teodor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Emilio Frasquito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernan Isadore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Enekoitz having to interfere. Jose Eleazar in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alfredo Enekoitz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tiburcio Basajaun got his second yellow card in the match during the 72nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 72nd match minute, Club Sportivo Quilmes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiburcio Basajaun to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Cuervos Galácticos booed when Club Sportivo Quilmes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Valente didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Club Sportivo Quilmes's Genaro Abaunza got a free kick in the 86th minute. If Emilio Frasquito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedicto Orkatz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Valente in the 93rd minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
