The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Inter de Chillán's Serafín Astigueta got a free kick in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Frasquito in the 18th minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Odón Mackenzie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uriel Jacindo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Odón Mackenzie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Cuervos Galácticos getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Gerardo Steven hit a great ball. In the 23rd match minute, Inter de Chillán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Gillan to maneuver through the defense. Odón Mackenzie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Paul in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Cuervos Galácticos booed when Inter de Chillán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barni San Martín didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Frasquito came free, but Odón Mackenzie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Inter de Chillán defense, Emilio Frasquito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Odón Mackenzie. The Inter de Chillán fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Odón Mackenzie should have stopped the shot. Odón Mackenzie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Frasquito in the 40th minute of the match. Cuervos Galácticos's Jorge Txindoki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Cuervos Galácticos from getting a goal against them. Cuervos Galácticos's Jorge Txindoki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Gillan in the 44th minute of play. Gerardo Steven kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute of the match Justo Tirapegui shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorge Txindoki showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Inter de Chillán players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cuervos Galácticos were winning 0-1.

After taking down the ball on Cuervos Galácticos's corner Elpidio Paul fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Odón Mackenzie quite easily take care of the ball. Odón Mackenzie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Paul, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 64th minute, Emilio Frasquito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 71st minute, Serafín Astigueta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serafín Astigueta in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Txindoki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Elpidio Paul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bairon Bernales kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Julián Leal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Ian Gillan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elpidio Paul got free with Odón Mackenzie in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Inter de Chillán supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cuervos Galácticos's performance. The match ended with a win for Cuervos Galácticos.
